"Jess" founded the company in 2004. Under her leadership, Pacific Medical Data Solutions has cultivated a unique service model which has led to continued growth and an extremely satisfied client base.
Having been raised on a California cattle ranch, Jess is deeply rooted in family values and integrity. Those values are clearly embedded in the innovative delivery of service and engaging culture she has built at Pacific Medical Data Solutions.

Executive Director, Health Evolution Partners
Innovation Network
Julie Murchinson is the Executive Director of the Health Evolution Partners Innovation Network which coordinates the capture, synthesis and exchange of industry expertise and market intelligence among HEP stakeholders. She has 18 years experience in healthcare, including health information technology policy and strategy consulting and executive roles within private sector health IT companies. She publishes and speaks regularly across the country and has participated in numerous federal, state and industry initiatives as a content expert.
Ms. Murchinson’s unique approach addresses cross-industry and policy interests in the potential for health information technology and consumer-centric strategies to prepare healthcare delivery for the reality of personalized health care. Her work has pioneered industry-leading health IT methodologies, special-interest collaborations and perspectives on privacy, security, and consumer rights with sectors that include health care delivery systems, community health centers and networks, health information technology companies, consumer-focused Internet companies, state agencies, pharmaceutical companies and foundations and related membership associations.
Most recently, Ms. Murchinson was a Managing Director at Manatt Health Solutions, a policy and strategy advisory division of Manatt, Phelps and Phillips, where she advised clients on their health information and data management strategies. Prior to that, she cofounded and led Object Health, a boutique management consulting group that merged with Manatt Health Solutions. Object Health assisted healthcare organizations and communities with leveraging health information to improve operational efficiencies and health quality outcomes by addressing the intersection of strategic, operational and technical issues of managing healthcare information.
Previously, Ms. Murchinson was the Vice President of Services at CareScience, a leading provider of care management technology and services to hospitals and provider communities. Prior to joining CareScience, Ms. Murchinson was a Senior Consultant with Deloitte Consulting, where she focused on health IT adoption and workforce solutions. She launched her career in healthcare consulting with Ernst & Young LLP.
Ms. Murchinson graduated from Franklin and Marshall College with a BA in Business Management/Accounting and received her MBA in Healthcare and Operations Management from the Wharton School.
President, Specialty Silicone Fabricators
Kevin has twenty-five years of operations management experience at companies ranging from Abbott Laboratories in the medical device industry to Newport Corporation in telecom photonics. He has started and sold a specialty contract manufacturing company and is currently President of Specialty Silicone Fabricators, a contract manufacturer of silicone components for the medical device industry. He founded Superfactory, which later became Factory Strategies Group, in 1997.
Kevin is also a partner at Gemba Academy LLC, which leverages new technologies to deliver HD-quality online training products, and Pacific Excellence LLC, which provides specialized lean consulting services to Australia and New Zealand. He is on the board of directors of the Association for Manufacturing Excellence as well as the advisory boards of two startup technology companies. He writes daily about lean enterprise excellence on the Evolving Excellence blog, and is author of a book by the same name. Kevin has a BS in chemical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
Operations Manager
Dana brings over a decade of industry experience to PMDS and is responsible for overseeing the performance, productivity and internal operations of all PMDS billing departments. She also provides constant direction and support to our clients, acting as an on-call laison for our physician practices, monitoring all external client relations and providing leadership for EHR implementation and billing conversion projects. Dana is an AAPC Certified Professional Coder, providing our physicians with the most current coding information, updates and education. She is responsible for internal auditing of all billing services PMDS provides our clients, and for performing external quarterly audits of medical records for our physician practices. In addition, Dana keeps PMDS staff informed of all coding changes and correct coding application.
Data Management Specialist
Lisa is responsible for maintaining all our system updates with the latest fee schedules, profiles, and correct insurance company information, as well as communicating between our software support team and PMDS to ensure that we maintain optimal system operations.
HIPAA Compliance Officer/Medical Information Specialist
Niki is at the forefront of the PMDS HIPAA compliance effort. She is responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of PMDS policies and procedures established to ensure the privacy and security of protected health information processed and maintained by PMDS. She is also responsible for tracking and posting key industry resources and information to assist our clients in their efforts to stay abreast of current industry hot topics.
IT Specialist
Scott comes to PMDS after serving in the United States Navy as a Network Operations Supervisor, responsible for monitoring over 50 servers covering the entire Europe Central Region. At PMDS, Scott provides complete network and systems maintenance by monitoring, analyzing, isolating and resolving complex problems. He conducts critical tests, installations, custom applications, and recovery activities for optimal equipment operations, workflow issues, programming and control failures, both internally and to assist our physician practices.
